K67 is a probiotic bacterium that is used to treat diarrhoea. K67 has been shown to stimulate the growth of cells in the epidermis, which may be due to its ability to transport proteins across the cell membrane. It has also been shown to stimulate the production of EGF (epidermal growth factor) and promote wound healing by increasing protein synthesis in cells. K67's ability to produce cation channels may also have therapeutic benefits, as it can be used to inhibit cancerous growths by preventing protein synthesis in cancer tissues.
