Descripción:Tert-Butyl 1-bromocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (TBCPC) is a group P2 bromonitrile that inhibits the activity of various enzymes in the body. TBCPC inhibits the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase and also blocks electron transfer from NADH to ubiquinone, which is required for ATP synthesis. TBCPC has been shown to react with trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) to form tert-butyl 1-(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate, which can then undergo cationic polymerization. TBCPC may be a potential biomarker for exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
