The IC50 value for this compound is 1 µM, making it one of the most potent inhibitors of voltage gated sodium channels currently known. 6-[(3-Methoxyphenyl)methyl]-4-methyl-2-methylsulfinylthieno[3,4]pyrrolo[1,3-d]pyridazin-5-one has been used as a research tool in cell biology and pharmacology to study protein interactions and peptides.
