6-O-trans-cinnamoylphlorigidoside B is a natural product of the iridoid glycosides class. It was first isolated from the leaves of Callicarpa formosa in Taiwan, and has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties. The structure of 6-O-trans-cinnamoylphlorigidoside B was determined by spectroscopic analysis and chemical degradation. This compound can be synthesized by reacting an alcohol with a phloroglucinol derivative. Methylation of the hydroxyl group on the cinnamic acid leads to 6-o-trans-cinnamoylphlorigidoside B.
