Curcumin-d6 is a fluorescent derivative of curcumin and has been used as a marker molecule for the identification of lymphocytic leukemia cells. Curcumin-d6 has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease. This compound is water soluble, which makes it suitable for use in dietary supplements or as an analytical reagent. The stability of curcumin-d6 makes it suitable for use in plasma samples, such as those obtained from patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The linear calibration curve of curcumin-d6 can be used to validate other analytical methods that are being used to measure this compound.
