Arvensan is a flavonoid derivative that belongs to the group of trifolium. It has been shown to have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as a potential role in preventing heart disease. Arvensan inhibits cancer cell growth by inhibiting protein synthesis and DNA replication. This function is due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of proteins necessary for cell division, such as COX-2, p38 MAPK, and caspase-3. Arvensan also reduces inflammation by blocking the production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNFα and IL-8.
