(2E)-3-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-one is a molecule that regulates inflammatory response and insulin sensitivity. It has been shown to inhibit the production of TNF-α, which is an important factor in inflammation. (2E)-3-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-one also inhibits the production of insulin, which may cause insulin resistance. This substance has been found to have anti cancer properties in mice, but has not been tested on humans.
