Calopogoniumisoflavone A is a prenylated flavone that belongs to the group of ferrugineum and was isolated from Calopogonium ferrugineum. It has been shown to have chromatographic properties, as well as antimicrobial, antioxidant, and cytotoxic activities. This compound has been found to have 8-O-methylretusin and millettone as its major constituents. In addition, it contains a number of flavones such as chrysin and tephrosin. Calopogoniumisoflavone A has also been found to contain rotenoids such as calopogenin and rotenol, which are known for their cytotoxic properties.
