Descripción

Panaxydol is a fructus that belongs to the genus Panax of the family Araliaceae. It contains ginsenosides, which are cyclase inhibitors that have neurotrophic effects. Ginseng has been shown to inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential and intracellular calcium concentration in mouse tumor cells. Panaxydol inhibits axonal growth and cervical cancer by inhibiting nuclear DNA replication and increasing expression of neurotrophic factors such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Angelicae dahuricae, which contains panaxydol, has been shown to have synergistic effects on camp levels when combined with ursolic acid.
