Dihydroisosakuranetin is a benzoic acid derivative that inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Leishmania, an intracellular parasite that causes leishmaniasis, by inhibiting tyrosinase activity. Dihydroisosakuranetin also inhibits the growth of Cryptococcus neoformans, an opportunistic fungal pathogen that causes cryptococcal meningitis in immunocompromised patients. This compound has been shown to have pharmaceutical dosage and cancer prevention properties.
