Decursin is a coumarin derivative that is produced by the plant Peucedanum decursivum. Decursin has been shown to inhibit the growth of various cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Decursin also has anti-inflammatory activities, which may be due to its ability to inhibit inflammation and tumor formation. Decursidin inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. This drug also possesses antioxidant properties, which may be due to its ability to reduce free radical activity.
