Información del producto
(2S)-2-Benzylpyrrolidine is an organic compound that can be synthesized using a number of different techniques. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects and is used for the treatment of hypertension in animals. The synthesis of (2S)-2-benzylpyrrolidine is catalytic asymmetric, with a chiral catalyst and an alkene as a starting material. The stereoselectivity of this reaction is controlled by the cationic nature of the catalyst and the steric bulk of the reactants. One example for the synthesis of this molecule is hydrolysis with lithium aluminum hydride followed by reductive elimination with sodium borohydride. This reaction requires high temperatures, which may not be tolerated in some organisms such as humans.
