Descripción

Frenolicin B is a potent inhibitor of elastin and has been shown to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells. This protein kinase inhibitor has demonstrated significant anti-tumor activity in Chinese hamster ovary cells, as well as in various other tumor cell lines. Frenolicin B analogs have been developed as potential anticancer agents that target specific kinases involved in cancer cell growth and proliferation. Its unique ability to inhibit elastin degradation makes it a promising candidate for the treatment of diseases such as emphysema and aneurysm. Additionally, Frenolicin B has been detected in urine samples from humans, indicating its potential use as a diagnostic marker for certain diseases.
