• Descripción: (3-Ethoxy-4-methoxyphenyl)methanol is a dimethoxy synthetic reductive coupling reaction. It is used as a reagent in catalytic organocopper chemistry, and has been shown to be an attractant for some insects, such as the fruit fly. (3-Ethoxy-4-methoxyphenyl)methanol is also used as a cross-coupling agent for the synthesis of organic compounds. It can be prepared by reacting lithium with ethylmagnesium bromide or methylmagnesium bromide in the presence of tetrachlorocuprate. Grignard reagents are often used to prepare it.
