4'-Hydroxywogonin is a flavonoid molecule that has been shown to have antiviral, anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective properties. It is a reactive compound that can form covalent bonds with nucleophilic functional groups in proteins. 4'-Hydroxywogonin has been shown to protect cells from oxidative stress and enhance the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by activating NADPH oxidase in human neutrophils. 4'-Hydroxywogonin also has potent anti-angiogenic effects and inhibits the growth of cancer cells at low concentrations.
