Información del producto
Methyl 2-amino-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylate is a molecule with a methyl group at the second position of the imidazole ring. It can be synthesized in three steps from formaldehyde and ammonia by reaction with potassium cyanide. This compound has been shown to methylate histone H3 lysine 9, which is an important regulatory protein. Methyl 2-amino-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylate also binds to a number of cellular proteins and effector proteins that are involved in DNA repair and replication. The uptake of this molecule requires the presence of amide and methyl groups on the imidazole ring.
