Información del producto
2-Bromo-6-iodobenzoic acid, a synthetic compound, is a potent antiproliferative and anticancer agent. It has shown inhibitory activities against a wide range of cancer cells, including leukemia and colon cancer. 2-Bromo-6-iodobenzoic acid selectively inhibits the synthesis of DNA by competitively inhibiting the enzyme DNA polymerase. This inhibition prevents DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell death. In addition, 2-Bromo-6-iodobenzoic acid also inhibits the production of proinflammatory factors such as TNFα and IL1β in vitro. The compound's antiproliferative activity may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis in some cell lines.
