CEP-28122 is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that binds to the active site of activated protein kinases, inhibiting their activity. CEP-28122 has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in colorectal adenocarcinoma and tumor xenografts in mice. CEP-28122 has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells by blocking the activation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and other tyrosine kinases. This drug also has potent pharmacokinetic properties, with a half-life of 3 hours in humans.
