Salvadoraside is a naturally occurring chemical compound that has been shown to have inhibitory effects on both leukemia cells and intestinal cells. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of hl-60 human cells and is currently being researched for its potential as an anti-cancer drug. Salvadoraside inhibits the production of epidermal growth factor, which may be related to its anti-leukemia properties. This compound also inhibits mucin gene expression in cells, which may be related to its anti-inflammatory properties. The optimal pH for this compound is 5.5-6.0.
