Descripción

Xanthyletin is a coumarin derivative that inhibits the activity of acridone, which is a potent inducer of the biosynthesis of fatty acids. The compound has been shown to have in vitro antifungal activity against Candida albicans, and has also been shown to reduce the size of squamous carcinoma tumors in mice. Xanthyletin is an active ingredient found in many traditional Chinese medicines used for treating autoimmune diseases. It can be extracted from Astragali Radix and analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) or high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
