Descripción:ONO 8809 is a research tool that can be used to study the interaction between a ligand and receptor. ONO 8809 is an activator of the TRPV1 ion channel. It has been shown to bind to the TRPV1 receptor with high affinity, activating it by increasing calcium influx and intracellular calcium concentrations. Cell studies have shown that ONO 8809 has no effect on other ion channels or receptors. This agent has also been shown to increase protein levels in cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein degradation or dephosphorylation. ONO 8809 is currently being studied for the treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis.
