ZCZ 011 is a modulator that acts as an allosteric modulator at the CB1 cannabinoid receptor. It has been shown to reduce the effects of THC in mice by binding to this receptor, which is located in the brain. ZCZ 011 was also found to be effective against Parkinson's disease by reducing dyskinesia and improving movement disorders in mice. The drug also has a linear range for quantification of cannabinoids in liquid chromatography with a detection limit of 0.5 pg/μl and linearity from 0.5-10 μg/ml.
