JMV 390-1 is a peptide that is used as an activator and an inhibitor. It can be used to activate or inhibit ion channels, which are important in many biological processes. JMV 390-1 has been shown to interact with a variety of proteins and receptors, including the receptor for acetylcholine, which is involved in signal transmission at the neuromuscular junction. JMV 390-1 also inhibits the activity of protein kinase C (PKC) and protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs). In addition, this peptide binds to the ligand-binding domain of GPCRs with high affinity.
