Mk2 Inhibitor III is an inhibitor of the protein kinase Mk2. The protein kinase Mk2 has been shown to be necessary for normal cell growth and proliferation. Mk2 Inhibitor III binds to the ATP binding site on the enzyme, preventing it from phosphorylating its substrates. This inhibition inhibits the activation of a number of cellular signaling pathways that are involved in cell growth, proliferation, and survival.
