Tomivosertib hydrochloride is a small molecule inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinases, which are proteins that regulate cellular responses to growth factors. Tomivosertib hydrochloride inhibits the activation of these receptors by preventing the binding of ligands to them. It also blocks signaling from these receptors in a reversible manner. Tomivosertib hydrochloride is a research tool for studying protein interactions and has been shown to be an activator of certain ion channels. It is not toxic to cells at concentrations up to 10 µM, making it suitable for use in cell biology experiments.
