Applications (RS)-3,5-DHPG is a selective group I metabotropic glutamate receptor agonist which activates both mGluR1 and mGluR5. It has been shown that (RS)-3,5-DHPG can modulate Kir4.1 protein and mRNA in cultured rat retinal Müller cells.(RS)-3,5-DHPG acts as a potential target in treatment of parkinson's disease.
