N-(2-Bromophenyl)pyrrolidine-1-sulfonamide is a quinone oxidoreductase inhibitor that has been shown to have both antioxidant and anticancer properties. It is an anthracycline-based chemotherapy agent that inhibits the enzyme quinone oxidoreductase, which is involved in the electron transfer chain of cancer cells. N-(2-Bromophenyl)pyrrolidine-1-sulfonamide has been shown to inhibit the growth of human tumor cells with single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with increased risk for cancer. It also plays a role as a chaperone in the cell, maintaining proteins in their native conformations and preventing protein aggregation.
