4-Amino-N-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-3H-azepin-2-yl)-benzenesulfonamide is a competitive inhibitor of the antibody binding site on the human IgE receptor. It is used as a research tool and as a cell biology reagent to study the function of some ion channels and receptors. 4-Amino-N-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-3H-azepin-2-yl)-benzenesulfonamide binds to an allosteric site on the human IgE receptor. This ligand has been shown to activate the receptor in some systems.
