  • Crebinostat

    CAS :
<p>Crebinostat is a molecule that belongs to the class of histone deacetylase inhibitors, which are small molecules that inhibit the function of histones and alter gene expression. Crebinostat has potent serotonergic effects, which may be due to its ability to increase the availability of serotonin by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin in the synapse. It also prevents the degradation of serotonin by inhibiting monoamine oxidase A, an enzyme found in high concentrations in the brain. This drug enhances neuronal function and has been shown to improve cognitive performance in animal models. Crebinostat has been evaluated as a potential treatment for t-cell lymphomas and other types of cancer because it inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by interfering with their metabolism. This drug also enhances histone proteins, which are important for regulating gene expression. Crebinostat is able to bind to lysine residues on histones and inhibit their acetylation, preventing transcriptional activation.</p>
