    <p>3-Methylcyclopentylidene-[4-(4'-chlorophenyl)thiazol-2-yl]hydrazone hydrobromide is a synthetic inhibitor of the human ion channel TRPV4. It has been shown to inhibit the activation of TRPV4 by capsaicin and allyl isothiocyanate. This compound is a potent, selective, and cell-permeable inhibitor of TRPV4 and shows no inhibition against any other ion channels tested (TRPA1, TRPM8, KCa1.1). In addition, this compound does not show any cytotoxicity at concentrations up to 10 mM.</p>
