(E,E)-3,7,11,15-tétraméthylhexadéca-1,6,10,14-tétraène-3-ol, communément connu sous le nom de phytol, est un composé organique naturel classé comme un alcool diterpénique. Applications Geranyl Linalool is am aliphatic genaryl derivative. Geranyl Linalool unlike other genaryl derivatives showed poor inhibitory activity against carotenoid synthesis in Synechococcus. Geranyl Linalool was identified as a testosterone-dependent volatile compound in the preputial gland of rat Rattus norvegicus.

Geranyl linalool also displays antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Geranyl linalool is soluble in organic solvents such as methanol and ethanol, but insoluble in water. The chemical ionization mass spectrum of geranyl linalool has been observed to produce water-vapor ions at m/z 94 and 95 with a retention time of 12.5 minutes. The molecular weight of geranyl linalool is 152 g/mol and it has a ph optimum between 5-8.
