Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-2-amine is a chemical compound that is used as a solvent. It has a constant boiling point at -8 °C and shows no solubility in water. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-2-amine has been shown to have spectra that are similar to those of acetone and chloroform, with the exception of a red shift. This shift may be due to the electron donating nature of the nitrogen atom. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-2-amine also has basic properties and shows an increase in polarity when dissolved in carbon tetrachloride. The solvents that are used for this compound include acetone and chloroform.
