1-[3-(3-{1-[2-(Morpholin-4-yl)ethyl]-1H-pyrazol-3-yl}phenyl)phenyl]ethan-1-one (NVP-BEZ235, NVP) is a small molecule that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity against hepatoblastoma and kidney fibrosis. It is also reported to inhibit the progression of cancer, as well as improve the quality of life in pediatric patients. NVP binds to the receptor for fatty acids and increases transcription of genes that regulate cell maturation and pancreas development. In addition, it has been shown to be an inhibitor of rapamycin complex 1 (TORC1), which modulates cell growth.
