N-1H-Benzimidazol-2-yl-3-(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)benzamide (NBPB) is a potent and selective activator of Kv4.2/Kv4.3 voltage gated potassium channels. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human cancer cells in vitro, as well as induce apoptosis in certain cell lines by activating voltage gated potassium channels. NBPB is a new chemical tool for study of ion channel function and protein interactions.
