CAS :<p>Methyl 4-bromo-2-sulfamoylbenzoate is a synthetic drug that inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenases and 5-lipoxygenase. It is used as a research tool in pharmacology to study the anti-inflammatory properties of selective cyclooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase inhibitors. Methyl 4-bromo-2-sulfamoylbenzoate has been shown to be an inhibitor of both COX and 5LO, with IC50 values of 10 μM and 20 μM, respectively. Methyl 4-bromo-2-sulfamoylbenzoate also exhibits inhibitory activities against salicylic acid, aspirin, and diflunisal in vitro.
