TC-Mps1-12 is a drug target for skin cancer and bladder cancer. TC-Mps1-12 inhibits the tyrosine kinase activity of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and its downstream signalling cascades, which are involved in cell proliferation. This drug has been shown to be effective in decreasing tumour size in mice with skin cancer. TC-Mps1-12 also inhibits the EGFR downstream signalling pathways in bladder cancer cells, leading to decreased production of inflammatory cytokines and increased apoptosis.
