CAS :Bromfenac sodium hydrate is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to treat postoperative inflammation. Bromfenac sodium hydrate is an ophthalmic solution that is used for the treatment of corneal inflammation and postoperative inflammation following cataract surgery. Bromfenac sodium hydrate has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity in the eye by inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandin E2 and leukotriene B4. This drug also inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2, two enzymes responsible for forming prostaglandins. Bromfenac sodium hydrate can be detected using analytical methods such as HPLC, LCMS, or HPTLC.
