CAS :
3-(1H-Imidazol-2-yl)propanoic acid hydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of the GABA transporter. It is an imidazole derivative with a 3-substituted propanoic acid moiety and a protonated imidazole ring. The compound inhibits the GABA transporter, which is responsible for transporting GABA into presynaptic neurons and glia cells. This inhibitory effect blocks the function of the transporter proteins, leading to decreased levels of GABA in the brain, which leads to increased levels of gaba in the synapse. 3-(1H-Imidazol-2-yl)propanoic acid hydrochloride has been shown to have potent inhibitory effects on a number of other neurotransmitter transporters, including glutamate and glycine transporters.
Formule :C6H9ClN2O2Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :176.6 g/mol
