It has also been shown to act as an activator for the repair of oxidized DNA by stimulating the polymerase enzyme. 3DF has been found to be highly active against HIV and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1). This drug is synthesized in high purity and with a monophosphate group at the 3' position.</p>
