It is a modified nucleoside that inhibits the replication of RNA by binding to the enzyme ribonuclease, which plays a vital role in the synthesis of DNA. 2'-O-Methyladenosine 5'-monophosphate triethylammonium salt also has anticancer properties and can inhibit DNA synthesis. This compound is a novel phosphoramidite building block for oligonucleotide synthesis and has been shown to be an activator for deoxyribonucleosides.
