2-(2,3-Dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxin-6-yl)amino pyridine-3-sulfonamide is a research tool used in the study of ion channels. It is an inhibitor that binds to the ligand binding site of ion channels and blocks the flow of ions across cell membranes. It has been shown to be a potent activator of voltage gated sodium channels with an EC50 value of less than 10 nM. 2-(2,3-Dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxin-6-yl)amino pyridine-3-sulfonamide has also been shown to inhibit the production of certain cytokines such as IL2 and IFNγ by inhibiting protein synthesis.
