L-(+)-2-Amino-6-phosphonohexanoic acid
CAS :
L-(+)-2-Amino-6-phosphonohexanoic acid is a selective inhibitor of the glutamate transporter EAAT1. It blocks the uptake and transport of glutamate into astrocytes, which sensitizes neurons to the neurotoxic effects of this neurotransmitter. L-(+)-2-Amino-6-phosphonohexanoic acid is also an endogenous amino acid that is phosphorylated by protein kinase C to form a phosphonate, which can sequester extracellular glutamate. The interaction between L-(+)-2-Amino-6-phosphonohexanoic acid and l-ap6 has been shown to be important for regulating the uptake of glutamate in vivo.
Formule :C6H14NO5PDegré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :211.15 g/mol
