:Mupirocine
Description :
Mupirocine est un antibiotique topique principalement utilisé pour le traitement des infections cutanées causées par certaines bactéries, en particulier Staphylococcus aureus, y compris les souches résistantes à la méthicilline (MRSA). Il est dérivé de la fermentation de la bactérie Pseudomonas fluorescens. Mupirocine agit en inhibant la synthèse des protéines bactériennes en se liant à l'isoleucyl-tRNA synthétase, ce qui perturbe l'incorporation de l'isoleucine dans les protéines, conduisant finalement à la mort cellulaire bactérienne. La substance est généralement disponible sous forme de pommade ou de crème et est appliquée directement sur la zone affectée. Mupirocine est connu pour sa faible absorption systémique lorsqu'il est utilisé topiquement, ce qui le rend efficace pour les infections localisées avec un risque minimal d'effets secondaires systémiques.
