Hydroxy celecoxib-d4 is an analog of the drug Celecoxib, which is a selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) used for the treatment of pain and inflammation. Hydroxy celecoxib-d4 has been shown to inhibit the activity of various kinases, including human protein kinase C (PKC) and Chinese hamster ovary cell kinase. This inhibition leads to apoptosis in cancer cells, making it a potential anticancer drug.
