CAS :
(2R,3S,4R)-2-(Hydroxymethyl)-5-methoxytetrahydrofuran-3,4-diol (HTMD) is an inhibitor of S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase that blocks the conversion of S-adenosylhomocysteine to homocysteine and adenosine. It is used as a research tool for studying the biological function of this enzyme. HTMD can inhibit the synthesis of RNA and protein in cells infected with hepatitis viruses. HTMD has been shown to stabilize aromatic heterocycles such as benzene, pyridine, or quinoline derivatives in chemical reactions and virus infections. The magnesium salt of HTMD is also used as a phosphate derivative for use in enzymatic reactions.
Formule :C6H12O5Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :164.16 g/mol
