(αS)-N,α-Dimethyl-N-[2-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-6,6-dimethyl-1H-indazol-3-yl)-1H-indol-6-yl]-4-morpholineacetamide (PDE10A) is a potential drug target for various inflammatory diseases such as reactive arthritis and autoimmune diseases. It is a hydrophilic molecule that functions by binding to the enzyme cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) phosphodiesterase 10A (PDE10A). PDE10A hydrolyzes cGMP to GMP. This inhibitor blocks the production of cAMP and therefore reduces inflammation and pain. PDE10A also has anti-proliferative effects on certain cancer cells in vitro.
