Description :

Hydroxyde de sodium, communément connu sous le nom de soude caustique ou de lessive, est un composé inorganique avec la formule NaOH. C'est un solide blanc et inodore qui est hautement soluble dans l'eau, produisant une solution fortement alcaline. Hydroxyde de sodium est hygroscopique, ce qui signifie qu'il peut absorber l'humidité de l'air, et il est généralement rencontré sous forme solide sous forme de granulés, de flocons ou de granulés. Il a un point de fusion élevé et est une base forte, se dissociant facilement dans l'eau pour libérer des ions hydroxyde (OH⁻), ce qui le rend efficace pour neutraliser les acides. Ce composé est largement utilisé dans diverses industries, y compris la fabrication chimique, la production de papier et le traitement de l'eau, ainsi que dans les produits de nettoyage ménagers.
