CAS :Trimanganese tetraoxide is a chemical compound that has been used in wastewater treatment and as a catalyst for the oxidation of organic compounds. It is a solid with an orange-red color, which can be prepared by reacting manganous chloride with nitric acid, or by laser ablation of manganese dioxide. Trimanganese tetraoxide is soluble in water and has a redox potential between 1.2 and 2.2 volts. It also has high values for thermal expansion and thermodynamic data.
