N,N-Bis-desethyl, N-methyl entacapone is a potent inhibitor of cancer cell growth and has been shown to have anticancer properties. It works by inhibiting the activity of certain proteins that are involved in tumor growth and survival. This inhibitor has been shown to be effective against various types of cancer cells, including those found in human urine and Chinese hamster ovary cells. It has also been found to induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. N,N-Bis-desethyl, N-methyl entacapone is an analog of elastase inhibitors and has been shown to inhibit the activity of kinases, which are enzymes that play a key role in cellular signaling pathways. This inhibitor may hold promise for the development of new cancer therapies.
