1-(3-Chlorophenethyl)-3-cyclopentylpyrimidine-2,4,6-(1H,3H,5H)-trione is a novel ion channel activator that binds to the ligand site of the human ether-a-go-go related gene potassium channel. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of voltage gated sodium channels and calcium activated potassium channels with IC50 values in the low nanomolar range. It has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of protein binding.
